Ученици ОШ „Петар Николић“ из Самаила и Ласца су са наставницом историје Зорицом Шћепановић подржали акцију амбасаде Израела у Србији чији је циљ очување сећања на шест милиона убијених Јевреја током Другог светског рата. Акција која је рођена у Израелу је изведена симболичним паљењем свећа у школском дворишту у Самаилима и Ласцу.
